A Deer Lightful Yogi Story
I’m Donna, a Dru Yoga & Meditation Teacher, an Ayurveda Practitioner and Breath Coach. I live in the Dee Valley in North Wales with my husband and daughter. I am passionate about living my best, most authentic life and empowering others to do the same.
This quest lead me to the practices of Yoga, Ayurveda, Meditation and Breathwork, which I’ve found invaluable in creating and maintaining a healthy life-style from which to live an empowered life.
For me, an empowered life is rooted in a foundation of healthy living and self-awareness. In my life that means that yoga, meditation, a diet rich in whole-foods and time in nature and doing what I love.
My journey to this discovery began about a decade ago, when I started to practice yoga. Since then yoga has transformed my life and the lives of those around me. I began my 350-hour Dru Yoga teaching diploma in 2014. Since then I have had the pleasure of witnessing yoga changing countless people’s lives, those of my students, my peers, my teachers, family, friends and colleges. Each time I find myself in awe at the ability of these ancient techniques to be so applicable to modern day living and to have such power to transform.
So impressed at the power of these practices to transform, I continued my studies – completing the Dru Yoga Advanced Practitioner Diploma and CPD courses in Back-care and Well-being. I have since trained as a Meditation Teacher, an Ayurvedic Health & Lifestyle Coach and a Breath Coach.
It has been a fascinating experience! It has given me a deeper understanding of myself, and enabled me to embed tools and techniques to manage my health and well-being during the inevitable stresses and challenges that modern day life provides. It has also provided me the skills to empower others to do the same - and that feels sooooo delightful!
I feel blessed to have discovered the power of these practices to restore and transform, it feels like a true gift. I am passionate about passing this ability on to others, because I truly believe in the power to transform the world by giving people the tools to transform themselves.
I currently teach yoga and meditation mainly on a one-to-one or small group basis, both online and face-to-face. I also offer coaching in Ayurveda Health and Life-style to individuals, as well as a series of 4 week Breath Coaching packages.
